Technology Ideas

  • Use Skype to connect to a current or returned missionary or student missionary. Use relatives, students' relatives, your church, college/university or AFMas resources to find someone to connect with.
  • Share your Tiger oral presentations with another class via Skype or a similar videoconference tool.
  • Make your missionary travel brochures on the computer. Include statistics on unreached people groups from The Joshua Project.
  • Create a multimedia slideshow exploring the Spiritual needs of other countries. Share your presentation with your church family.
  • Find another class to connect to via Skype and do a MysteryQuest event with them. Turn your country reports/brochures into clues. See if the other class can figure the countries (and cities if you want to make it harder) presented.
  • Plan a service learning project, such as making improvements to a First Nations community, whether it is yard work, garbage, sports grounds, etc. Take photos, video, and make it into an animoto presentation that can be presented in church. By doing these type of programs we help the people with their needs first, and then they are able or more willing to listen to the message. As for the presentation in church, I am hoping that every receives a great blessing and is also encouraged to participate where needed.
