  • Connect to another class via Skype and share with each other what you learned about the rainforest during this unit.
  • Use a multimedia program like KidPix, PowerPoint, Animoto, VoiceThread or similar tool for students to create their All About Me descriptions. But have them write out the words with pencil and paper first!
  • Connect to a nearby or famous zoo via Skype to learn about rainforest animals.

  • See if you can set up a Skype call with students at the Adventist University of France. Connect first thing in the morning to accommodate time zones.
  • Create a class multimedia presentation or slideshow on famous or little known African Americans who made various contributions to society.
  • Play Fact or Fiction with another class via Skype. Share sets of facts about famous African Americans, with one item incorrect. See if the other class can figure out which item is Fiction and not Fact!
